Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

FlyIQ Sports LLC ("FlyIQ," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our decision intelligence platform at flyiqsports.com and related services.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account or your organization subscribes to FlyIQ, we collect: name, email address, organization name, role/title, and billing information (processed by Stripe).

Film and Performance Data

We process game film, practice video, roster data, and related athletic performance information uploaded by your organization. This data is used exclusively to provide our grading, analysis, and intelligence services to your program.

Usage Data

We collect platform usage metrics including feature access patterns, API call volumes, processing times, and error logs. This data is used to maintain service quality and improve platform performance.

Coach Corrections

When coaches review, agree with, correct, or flag AI-generated grades, those feedback signals are stored as part of our governed learning system. This data is used exclusively to improve grading accuracy for your organization.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Providing AI-powered grading, analysis, and intelligence services
  • Improving grading accuracy through the governed learning feedback loop (coach corrections calibrate your organization's model)
  • Processing invoices and managing subscriptions via Stripe
  • Sending service communications and platform updates
  • Maintaining platform security and preventing abuse
  • Generating aggregate, anonymized benchmarks (only with explicit consent)

4. Data Isolation

Each organization's data is logically isolated within our platform. Your film, grades, scouting intelligence, tendency analysis, and coaching corrections are never shared with other programs, teams, or organizations. Row-level security enforces data boundaries at the database level.

5. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored on encrypted servers. Video files are stored in Google Cloud Storage with server-side encryption. Database records are stored in PostgreSQL with encryption at rest. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.2+.

Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel with multi-factor authentication. We maintain audit logs for all data access events.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Stripe — Payment processing and invoice management
  • Google Cloud Platform — Video storage and compute infrastructure
  • SendGrid — Transactional email delivery
  • Vercel — Dashboard hosting and CDN
  • Railway — API hosting

These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and process data only as necessary to provide their services to us.

7. AI and Machine Learning

FlyIQ uses computer vision (YOLOv8) and rule-based evaluation to process film. Our governed learning system means that coach corrections improve grading accuracy over time. Important: your corrections only train your organization's calibration profile. We do not use your coaching corrections to train models for other clients.

AI-generated grades and intelligence are advisory only and should not be the sole basis for personnel or strategic decisions.

8. Student-Athlete Data (FERPA)

For educational institutions, FlyIQ processes student-athlete performance data as a "school official" under FERPA. We use this data solely for the legitimate educational purpose of evaluating athletic performance. We do not disclose personally identifiable information from education records to unauthorized parties.

9. Data Retention

We retain your data for the duration of your active subscription plus 90 days. Upon subscription termination, you may request a full data export within 30 days. After the retention period, data is permanently deleted from active systems. Encrypted backups may persist for up to an additional 90 days before automated deletion.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access all data we hold about your organization
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Export your data in standard formats (JSON, CSV)
  • Opt out of aggregate benchmarking at any time

11. Cookies and Tracking

FlyIQ uses essential cookies for authentication (JWT session tokens) and platform functionality. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. Analytics are limited to aggregate usage metrics for service improvement.

12. Children's Privacy

FlyIQ is designed for use by coaching staff, analysts, and scouts at the high school level and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If athlete performance data involves minors, it is processed under the direction and authority of the educational institution.

13. Changes to This Policy

We will notify active subscribers of material changes to this privacy policy at least 30 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised.
